Deadline to Renew Dog Licenses is January 31
A dog license is required once your dog is three months old and must be displayed on its collar. This will help ensure your beloved dog can be reunited with you if they become accidentally lost.
To renew your license and pay through Customer Self Service, you will need to have your User ID and tag number in order to register.
Dog Licenses can be renewed online at www.highriver.ca/animal-control-licensing. Please note that renewals are due by January 31, 2021. If you no longer need to renew your license, please let the Town Office know. Renewal charges will continue to accrue until the Town Office is notified.
NOTE – New licenses cannot be purchased online and must be purchased in-person at the Town Office.
- $30 for neutered dogs and $60 for intact dogs.
- The penalty for not holding a current license is $100 to $250.
- The penalty for not having a license displayed on the collar is $75.
- There is no fee for service dogs accredited under the Service Dogs Act but they must carry appropriate identification in public spaces
