Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex Closure Update – Path Forward
HIGH RIVER, AB: The Town is reviewing the Province’s new plan for a gradual loosening of COVID-19 restrictions in relation to Town facilities, including the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex. You can find out more about the Province’s Path Forward here.
Step 1 changes under the Path Forward plan will have no impact on the BSRC, which is currently closed until further notice. The Town will review the BSRC closure once the Path Forward plan reaches Step 2. There is no set date for Step 2 – it will be triggered by a combination of factors, including hospitalization counts.
The Province has committed to providing municipalities with at least seven (7) days’ notice before any changes are made that might impact municipal operations. However, the decision to re-open rests with the Town, which will assess the local COVID situation and trends in the region before making changes.
The Town recognizes that the uncertainty from week to week is wearing on everyone, but we need to continue to do our part to minimize exposure to the virus and keep everyone in the community and workplace safe.
Virtual recreation programming and fitness classes continue to be offered for the community by the Town’s Parks and Recreation staff. Click here for the latest edition of the Community Guide.
