On October 1st, the Town of High River’s Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is launching an opportunity for seniors to share stories and photos that will be available to residents in the Foothills area.
Dear Seniors: We Want to Hear Your Stories!
1.Write memories about a difficult time in your community, province and/or country (i.e. war, flood, pandemic, being a newcomer to Canada).
- How did your family/community survive it?
- What lessons were learned that would help younger generations learn about resilience?
2.Describe your hopes for the future for yourself and your community.
Writing kits will be available for free at the following locations in High River starting October 1:
- High River Library: 909 1 St SW
- Town of High River FCSS (Family and Community Support Services): Unit 101, 303 9th Ave SW
All stories or pictures can be submitted to the High River FCSS office.
