Centre Street Utilities Overhead Lines Relocation to Begin July 6
HIGH RIVER, AB: The Town has requested utility companies relocate their existing overhead power lines to run underground on the former CP lands, now owned by the Town. Work is tentatively set to begin on the Centre Street Utilities Relocation Project starting Monday, July 6.
> Crews will begin the relocation of utility lines at the south end of Centre Street by 10th Avenue SE and make their way northwards over the summer to Macleod Trail.
> The work will generally be limited to the former CP lands between Centre Street and 1st Street SW.
> Access to buildings and businesses in the area will be maintained.
> There may be occasional disruptions to traffic as the utility relocation work progresses north. Public parking opportunities on the former CP lands may also be affected, depending on location of the work.
It is estimated the work will take seven weeks to complete.
