Kindness Campaign: Kind is Caring, Spread the Joy!

Join us as the Town of High River launches a Kindness Campaign for the 2020 Holiday Season!

Christmas will be different this year due to COVID-19, but the message of kindness, caring and community remains the same – especially in High River, where an old-fashioned Christmas spirit is alive and well. As residents have been navigating the ups and downs of the COVID-19 pandemic, one thing is for certain—we are all in this together and need to be able to lean on each other for support.

In the true spirit of the upcoming holidays, let’s remember to show extra patience and kindness to front-line service workers, customer service representatives, and all other employees that work directly with residents. As a community, we are stronger together so let’s spread kindness as we approach the holidays and joy will surely follow!

Christmas is about caring for each other and that’s needed more than ever this year. The Town of High River has adopted a Kindness is Caring theme for Christmas 2020. We invite residents to join us in spreading the joy of the season and some Christmas magic in our beautiful town! Watch the Town’s Facebook page for an invitation to share your stories of kindness and caring.

Message from Mayor Craig Snodgrass
High River Celebrates the Season with True Christmas Spirit

Folks in this town know how to pull together. Kudos to the organizers who have put a great deal of thought and care into the unique porch parades and virtual events this year. In the true spirit of the season, let’s celebrate the beauty of home and family. By focusing on traditional small town values, we may even experience a special kind of Christmas magic.

Another big shout-out goes to the health care professionals and other front-line workers who will be working to help people throughout the holidays. We extend our thoughts to families and individuals whose holidays are affected by the pandemic.

This Christmas we are especially grateful for the things that really matter such as the well-being and company of our loved ones. Christmas is good time to spread some extra kindness, caring and joy to others by supporting local organizations that bring food, essential items and Christmas cheer to families and children in need.
