The Town of High River actively promotes volunteerism in the community among residents and visitors

Stars of High River - Volunteer of the Year Award

Every year High River celebrates the volunteers who add so much to our community with a Stars of High River event during Volunteer Recognition Week in April. High River’s Town Council recognizes outstanding volunteers of the year.

This year we are doing our Volunteer of the Year Award celebration in-person on April 28, 2022. Nominations are open for the Volunteer of the Year Award from March 15th 2022 to April 15th 2022 and winners for the award will be chosen on April 25, 2022 by Mayor and Council.

Nomination are now closed, thank you for nominating your High River STAR! Are you a volunteer in High River? You can still be apart of the Volunteer of the Year Award celebration by joining us on April 28, 2022.

Registration is now closed, thank you for registering for the event. We will see all registrants on April 28, 2022!

As a someone who submits a nomination, your name will be entered to win one of our weekly giveaways being done throughout the nomination period.

Volunteer Driver for seniors: Volunteer drivers provide transportation for out of area medical appointments to individuals not eligible for subsidy. The senior pays a set honorarium to the driver

Snow Angels: helping your neighbours and those in need with snow shovelling

Emotional Safe Spots Trained Volunteers: When you see a round orange decal on a building in High River, it means a trained volunteer is ready to help you if you need support.
