Beauty in all seasons!

Parks & Recreation staff work to install and maintain displays throughout the year, not just during the growing season. You can find beautiful arrangements downtown, in public parks, and at various Town facilities during each season. In spring, the vibrant blooms come to life, while summer brings an explosion of colours and growth. During autumn, the foliage creates a picturesque scene; even in winter, we take pride in our seasonal decorations and holiday cheer. In total, there are nearly 100 ground planters and 65 hanging planters that our dedicated staff crews carefully water, fertilize, and maintain to ensure the beauty of these floral displays all year round.

See our Community Programming Guide and register for upcoming programs; spend your weekend outdoors at the Lion’s Club Campground at George Lane Park or take a relaxing tour through our Community Gardens.

You can also check out information on our memorial trees and beautiful greenspaces, as well as our plans to transform High River’s parks, trails and open spaces into spaces that are accessible, connected, diverse and sustainable.

On the below pages you will find information on exploring Happy Trails and Sheppard Family Park, information on Rec schedules, admission, how to book a facility, membership rates and more.
