Spend a weekend getaway at Lion’s Campground and stroll through George Lane Memorial Park and Campground - awarded “Campground of the Year” by the Southwest Service and Tourism group in October 2017.
High River is also a winter playground where residents and visitors can enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, outdoor skating and beautiful seasonal displays through the holiday season.

Looking After Trees & Natural Spaces
The Parks Division is responsible for the maintenance and care of trees and natural areas within the town. Their primary objective is to preserve and enhance the natural beauty of High River's parks, gardens, and green spaces.

High River is known for coming together to grow a beautiful future, and our Edible Plantings and Community Gardens are no exception! Explore consumable plants available to all, found throughout Town. Residents and visitors alike enjoy taking relaxing tours through our Community Gardens on beautiful summer days.
Parks and Trails Open Space Master Plan
The Community Playbook and Action Plan was approved by Council at their August 9, 2021, meeting! The Open Space Master Plan will transform High River’s parks, trails and open spaces into places that are accessible, connected, diverse and sustainable. Learn more below.
