Happy Trails offer over 19 kms of paved pedestrian and cycling pathways throughout the community, connecting many of the town’s recreational facilities. Residents can walk, bike and ride along the well-maintained walkways. Whether you’re searching for some exercise, an alternative route to travel through town, or a quiet spot for contemplation, you can find it on the Happy Trails.

The Happy Trails play an important role in encouraging a healthy, low-cost, environmentally sustainable choice for recreation and transportation.

The system is designed for multiple users and a range of recreational activity and abilities. Where feasible, the pathway system was designed to accommodate walkers, strollers, runners, people with disabilities, cyclists, in-line skaters and skateboarders. Key planning and design principles include continuity and avoiding gaps.
