Enjoy High River's Parks & Greenspaces!
Whether it’s biking, hiking, dog walking, sporting events or just enjoying nature; the Town’s 700+ acres provide the avenue for physical and psychological wellbeing of residents and visitors alike.

Set in a beautiful natural area alongside the Highwood River.
The Town of High River makes the most of its natural capital, providing everyone with an opportunity to enjoy the scenery and get back to nature.
Enjoy our Happy Trails that wind along the river and through parks and greenspaces connecting one neighbourhood to another. Spend a weekend getaway at Lion’s Campground, and stroll through George Lane Memorial Park - awarded “Campground of the Year” by the Southwest Service and Tourism group in October 2017.
View our Parks and Trails Map for more information.
High River is also a winter playground, where residents and visitors can enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, outdoor skating and beautiful seasonal displays through the Christmas season.
