Employee at local RCMP Detachment Tests Positive for COVID-19

HIGH RIVER, AB: On April 9, 2021 the Town of High River learned that an employee at the local RCMP detachment has tested positive for COVID-19. Through contact tracing, Alberta Health Services (AHS) will reach out to anyone who may have been in contact with this employee.
To follow safe and transparent reporting practices, the Town and local detachment are informing the RCMP command, staff and the community. The Town is also working to support Alberta Health Services & Occupational Health & Safety and the local detachment if there are additional measures that need to be taken.
Out of an abundance of caution, the affected facility will be closed until further notice. The facility will also be cleaned and sanitized.
We remind all visitors to any public facility that the province has ordered the mandatory use of face masks in all public spaces. Please remember to physically distance and use proper handwashing techniques to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
