Town Shares Facility Information Following Provincial Announcement for Stronger Public Health Measures
High River AB – The Town of High River continues to support and implement mandatory provincial orders to curb the spread of COVID-19. The Town values our customers and community. Your health and safety are our top priority. We ask for your patience with our customer service representatives and Town staff during these challenging times.
To comply with mandatory measures the Town will implement the following changes to facility hours and services:
> The Town officewill be open from Friday, December 11 to Friday December 18.
All Town Hall visitors must wear masks and practice social distancing and hand hygiene.
If you do not need to visit the Town office, we encourage you to use the following services:
> The Town Office will be closed to the public from December 21 to January 1, reopening on January 4, 2021. We will respond to all non-urgent calls and emails the week of January 4th.
> The Bob Snodgrass Recreation Centre will remain closed until January 17, 2021. Free virtual classes and online programming will continue – follow the Town’s Parks and Recreation Facebook page for ongoing ways to play.
> The Family and Community Support Services and Family Resource Centre will remain open by appointment only from December 10 – December 24. The office will be closed over the holiday period from December 25 – January 1, 2021.Foothills Community Counselling services will remain virtual (phone or online) with some in-office counselling only if necessary. The program will close over the holiday period from December 25 – January 1, 2021.
> Emergency Services will continue and are not affected by these measures.
> Town Services such as snow clearing, and solid waste collection will continue without interruption.
We encourage everyone to remember the many things we can continue to enjoy in High Riverfrom peaceful times at home, to enjoying the beauty of our natural spaces, trails and holiday lights that make for magical evening drives. Remember to support each other, support local businesses, and unite to bend the curve and prevent extra stress on our health care workers.
