Town Receives Provincial Funding for Family Resource Network
Following an announcement by the Provincial Government on April 8, 2020, the Town of High River is pleased to share that it has received funding for the creation of a newly named Greater Foothills Family Resource Network. The regional program, formerly known as the High River & District Parent Link Centre, will ensure that children and youth (0-18) and their families continue to have access to programs and services that are family focused and community based.
The Greater Foothills Family Resource Network is comprised of community agencies that will partner to provide supports and services in High River, Foothills County (including Black Diamond, Turner Valley and Longview), Nanton, Claresholm, Stavely, Vulcan and Vulcan County.
In November 2019 it was announced that current funding for Parent Link Centres, as well as funding to support Home Visitation and Resource Centres, would come to an end on March 31, 2020. Expressions of Interest were invited by agencies to apply to the province for funding as a Family Resource Network.
Staff look forward to sharing information about programming and services for families throughout the Greater Foothills region.
