HIGH RIVER AB – Starting April 28, work crews will be closing a section of High Country Drive in preparation of  a full closure for construction beginning May 11 for sewer main installation.
For the next two weeks eastbound lanes will be closed with signage in place. Starting May 11 there will be a full closure of this same section of road as work resumes on a major infrastructure project started last fall.
Lane Closures Effective April 28 for approximately two weeks:
  • CLOSURE: Eastbound lanes between 7th Street NW to the commercial access west of Centre St.
  • TWO-WAY TRAFFIC will be managed in the westbound lanes
FULL ROAD CLOSURE BEGINS MAY 11 as major infrastructure project resumes.
  • Construction of a sanitary sewer line between Eagleview and the new NW lift station at 7th Street NW and High Country Drive was started last fall. It is expected to take approximately 45 – 65 working days to complete in 2020 as long as weather cooperates.
  • The installation will also require a short-term closure of Centre Street mid-June.
Once completed, this project will provide benefit the community in keeping with the Town’s priority to ensure that high quality infrastructure is in place for residents.
