Awards will celebrate progressive design that contributes to the vibrancy of the community
HIGH RIVER, ALBERTA – The Town of High River’s Planning and Development Division is now accepting nominations for the inaugural Urban Design Awards. The awards aim to celebrate progressive and innovative designs that are contributing to the vibrancy and viability of The Town and will recognize the contribution of planners, architects, engineers, designers and developers. The inaugural awards will introduce two categories:
This category will recognize a building, or group of buildings, that represents a high quality of design and architectural standards.
This category will recognize smaller scale projects that contribute to the quality of the public realm and may include elements such as street furniture, lighting, public art, façade improvements and landscapes.
The first nomination period will be for projects completed between May 2018 and August 31, 2020. All projects must be completed at the time nominations are submitted and nominations will close on September 30, 2020. Nomination forms can be picked-up at the High River Library, Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex or the main desk at Town of High River. All hardcopy forms must be submitted to the main desk at The Town of High River.
