High River Fire Department Responds to House Fire in Montrose

HIGH RIVER, AB – On Wednesday, January 20 at approximately 8:40 am, the High River Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in the community of Montrose. Upon arrival, crews found a working fire inside a single story residential home. The home was under construction at the time of the fire. The High River Fire Department had 5 apparatus and 15 staff on scene with a ladder truck being requested from Okotoks.

The fire was contained to the single house and is now out. No other homes have been damaged and there are no injuries. The cause of the fire is still currently under investigation. We ask for residents to please stay clear of the area until the investigation is complete.
