The Town of High River released the ten-year long term, Fiscal Management Strategy for both Operating and Capital Expenditures.
It was presented and adopted by Council at the regular council meeting on Monday, September 23, 2019
The strategy outlines capital projects expected to come up over the next 10 years, a plan to grow the Town’s reserves and highlights the Town’s revenue and property tax strategy to fund operations, build sufficient reserves to fund the 10 year capital projects and minimize the impact on taxpayers by spreading the tax impact over 10 years.
The strategy will guide all future budgets for the Town which will be presented annually to Council. The fiscal management strategy will be reviewed every 3 years to reconfirm the assumptions, inflations and economic changes and update as appropriate.
