Film Production Activity in High River – December 4 to 6, 2025
HIGH RIVER – Film crews will be working in multiple locations throughout High River from December 4 to 6, 2025. During this time, certain scenes will involve the use of prop weapons, which may result in simulated gunshot sounds. Residents and visitors are advised of the planned film schedule and activities.
Thursday, December 4, 2025:
8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Filming will take place at various locations, including Olive and Finch, Carlsons, and George Lane Park. Horses and drones will be used during scenes.
Friday, December 5, 2025:
4:00 PM – 5:00 AM (December 6)
Filming will occur at multiple locations, including 7 Avenue SW, 3 Avenue SW, Macleod Trail, the Museum of the Highwood, 1 Street SW, and 5 Avenue SW.
Filming will also take place during the Annual Santa Claus Parade. Crew presence will be located at:
- 1 Street SW between 4 Avenue SE and 5 Avenue SW
- 5 Avenue SW between Macleod Trail SW and 1 Street SW
Traffic impacts include local traffic only on 5 Avenue SW, MacLeod Trail SW, 4 Avenue SW, and 1 Street SW. Full road closures will be in effect on 5 Avenue SW from Macleod Trail SW to 1 Street SW and 1 Street SW from 4 Avenue to 5 Avenue SW.
Please Note: The film production company provided crowd notice to film during the parade. Individuals moving through designated filming zones may be filmed, photographed, or recorded. Entry into these areas constitutes consent for the use of your voice, image, and likeness without compensation.
Saturday, December 6, 2025:
5:00 PM – 6:00 AM (December 7):
There will be filming activity in George Lane Park. Horses will be on site, and residents can expect increased noise.
Residents are reminded to follow all posted road signage, flaggers, and detour routes throughout the filming period.
