Town of High River at Increased Risk for Fire Hazards
Thursday, August 20
HIGH RIVER, AB: A recent heat wave combined with very little precipitation has increased the risk for fire hazards in the Town of High River. Currently, the Town does not have a fire ban in place however the fire department is monitoring fire hazard conditions. Foothills County has implemented a fire ban for properties located within the County which does not include those within the Town.
The High River Fire Department would like to remind residents to be cautious with open fires and a reminder that open fires are not permitted in the green spaces along the Highwood River.
