The Planning & Development Services division provides a full range of current and long range planning services for the Town of High River.

Current planning relates to working with customers on a day to day basis to receive, process and issue decisions on a variety of applications, including compliance requests, development permits, subdivisions and bylaw amendments.

Long range planning relates to the preparation of new statutory and non-statutory planning documents, together with reports and studies as required, to guide the future growth of the community or the development/re-development of particular neighbourhoods and districts. Area structure plans, area redevelopment plans, and neighbourhood outline plans are examples of long range planning documents.
