Resident Feedback Welcomed on Eagleview Bank Protection Project

February 22, 2021

HIGH RIVER, AB:  The Town and its consultant are seeking input from residents on the Eagleview Bank Protection Project.

The Project:  Riprap will be buried on the CP lands adjacent to the Eagleview subdivision to form a barrier in the event the Highwood River moves westward. Trees and vegetation will be added to assist with erosion control and provide shade. The project will begin after the migratory bird season in late summer, to avoid disturbing a colony of blue herons which nest in the area. It’s expected to wrap up by October 15, 2021, weather permitting.
