Stars of High River Virtual Volunteer Celebration Crowns Volunteers of the Year

April 23, 2021

High River – The Town of High River recognized its amazing volunteers at the Stars of High River Virtual Volunteer event! On April 22, volunteers from many different areas of our community joined together virtually to celebrate the passion and dedication that they showcase in High River every day. Outstanding volunteers received High River Volunteer of the Year awards from Mayor and Council, acknowledging their contributions.

“2020 and into 2021 has been a challenge across the globe and we’ve been feeling it in our community. Even with these challenges, the volunteers in High River have gone above and beyond to make a difference.” Said Mayor Craig Snodgrass. “This event is an opportunity to give back to our volunteers and celebrate all the work they do to make High River a wonderful place. We are glad to have been able to celebrate this year, even if it is from the comfort of our own homes.”

This year’s event included a virtual ‘thank you’ from organizations around town as well as a special ‘thank you’ from Heartland’s Amber Marshall.

“Our volunteers are the backbone of High River. They truly exemplify the meaning of community and help mold High River into a place that we can all be proud of. It is the heart and passion of our volunteers that make High River a wonderful place to work, live and visit.”
