Aquatics Centre Closure Extended: Reopening Timeline and Project Update

(HIGH RIVER, AB): Due to construction considerations, the full closure of the Aquatics Centre at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex has been extended. The facility is now scheduled to reopen for fall programming in September.
The total project cost has been adjusted by approximately $2.6 million to support completion of the expansion. This adjustment is necessary to address unforeseen site conditions.
We appreciate your understanding as we complete the expansion project. Taking extra time now means we are making sure that when the doors open, you will step into a top-notch recreation destination, even as a few finishing touches are completed. Every inch of space has been reimagined for your comfort and fun including a colourfully lit and patterned slide, expanded sauna, whirlpool and 22 private inclusive change stalls.
We are incredibly excited to welcome you back this September to a modern, accessible facility that was truly worth the wait!
