(HIGH RIVER, AB): The Aquatics Centre’s full closure has been extended, meaning the pool at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex will close for longer than scheduled to complete necessary ventilation upgrades while avoiding additional closures over the fall.
The old leisure basin will close on October 3, 2025 with the new basin opening mid-January, 2026, combining work into one extended closure to prevent repeated disruptions.
Fall aquatics registration will open on August 25 at 12 pm. Additional programming has been scheduled for September; refer to the September Aquatics Programming document for full details.
The Town is taking action to lessen the impact of this extended closure. All aquatics passes active as of October 3 will be paused for the duration of the closure. They will be reactivated upon reopening, with a free one-month extension applied. As an alternative, patrons holding aquatics passes that expire after October 3 may request a prorated refund.
Thank you for your patience as we complete this work safely and to standard, creating a better recreation facility for all.
