Introducing LawNathan – Your New Lawn Buddy!
HIGH RIVER - This summer, the Town is launching a community-wide initiative to help everyone become more mindful about water use, both outdoors and indoors. As we continue to face increasingly hot and dry summers, water conservation has never been more crucial. We're here to make it easier — and more fun — to get involved.
Meet LawNathan, the face of our 2025 Water-Wise with LawNathan campaign. LawNathan isn't just a mascot — he's a friendly reminder that brown lawns are okay. Throughout the campaign, you'll see his hair shift from green to yellow to brown, reflecting what naturally happens when the grass goes dormant: it rests, conserves energy, and survives summer heat without constant watering.
Through LawNathan, we'll be sharing simple tips, celebrating community efforts, and highlighting practical ways to save water — all grounded in High River's Outdoor Water Use & Restrictions Bylaw.
We're asking for your support. By being water-wise, you're helping protect a vital resource, strengthening our community, and showing pride in doing your part.
