Road Closures in Effect for Santa Claus Parade| Friday, December 1

HIGH RIVER – The Santa Claus Parade is returning to High River! The parade will require road closures on 1 Street SW from Macleod Trail to 7 Avenue SW and on Macleod Trail from 6 Avenue to 3 Avenue SW. For safety reasons, there will be no downtown parking for the parade.

Beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 1, the High River Parades & Lights Society will host its 37th Annual Santa Claus Parade starting at 3rd Street SW, continuing to 1 Street SW, 6 Avenue SW, and ending at 7 Avenue SW.

Road Closures and Parking:

  • When: Friday, December 1, from 4:30 to 9:00 p.m.
  • Where: 3 Street SW, 6 Avenue SW, 5 Avenue SW, 4 Ave SW, 3 Ave SW, 1 Street SW & 7 Avenue SW.
  • Why: Annual Santa Claus Parade
  • Parking: There will be no parking Downtown during the Santa Claus Parade.

The Santa Claus Parade is an event for the whole family to come out and enjoy and is free of charge. It is organized by the Rotary Club of High River with assistance from the Highwood Lions Club, the Kinsmen Club of High River and Town volunteers.
