Seasonal RV Parking Restrictions Begin October 30
HIGH RIVER – Starting Wednesday, October 30, 2024, seasonal parking restrictions for recreational vehicles (RVs) will take effect. These restrictions will remain in place until April 1, 2025. During this period, residents are prohibited from parking their RVs within the frontage of their property. Frontage is defined in the Land Use Bylaw as “the area of a Lot between a Building Façade and a Curb inclusive of its built and landscape components.”
Key points from Traffic Bylaw 4563/2019 include:
- RVs cannot be parked in a Frontage (the area between the street and your home) from October 30 to April 1.
- RVs may not be used for living, sleeping, or housekeeping purposes unless located in a designated campground.
- RVs and trailers must remain mobile; removing wheels or affixing the vehicle to the ground is prohibited.
- RVs cannot be connected to public utilities, except for temporary servicing.
Failure to comply with these restrictions may result in enforcement action.
For more information, please refer to Traffic Bylaw 4563/2019 & the Land Use Bylaw 4594/2021.
