The FCSS team is dedicated to helping low-income individuals and families file their taxes, ensuring they continue to receive benefits.
2026 Details
Tax intake: March 9 to April 27, 2026.
When: Walk-in, no appointment needed Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Additional Hours: Thursday, March 26 open until 6 p.m & Thursday, April 16 open until 6 p.m.
By appointment only: Saturday, March 28: 10 a.m. 2 p.m & Saturday, April 18: 10 a.m. 2 p.m.
Income Tax Program
During tax season, the FCSS team files taxes for free for low-income individuals and families in the Foothills area.
The program caters to individuals and families with straightforward personal tax situations (non-business income), with specific income limits:
- One person: $45,000
- Two-person family: $55,000
- Additional dependents: +$3,500
Ensure you bring all slips with you! We cannot do your taxes without them. Some common sources of income include:
- Employment
- AISH
- Alberta Works
- CPP / CPP Disability
- OAS / GIS
- Alberta Seniors Benefit
- RRSPs / Investments
The FCSS team is dedicated to helping people file their taxes, ensuring they continue to receive benefits such as the Canada Child Benefit, GST, Climate Action Incentive and Alberta Seniors Benefit.
