Town Facilities Close May 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for Staff Training
HIGH RIVER, AB: Town of High River facilities will close from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, to allow staff to participate in an all-staff training session. Garbage collection scheduled for May 6 will not be affected by this closure.
The following facilities will be closed during this time and will reopen at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6:
- High River Town Hall and Reception
- Greater Foothills Family Centre (High River site and Outreach Programs)
- Public Works Administration Office
- Fire Hall Administration Office
- FCSS Resource Centre & Reception
- The Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex
The facilities and services below will remain open and are not affected by the closure:
- Emergency services are not affected. Always call 9-1-1 in an emergency
- Garbage collection is NOT affected. Please leave bins out until collection occurs
- The Recycling Centre will remain open
- Foothills Community Counselling (open for walk-ins from 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.; scheduled appointments will continue as normal)
