Green Spaces

Whether you're into flowers, trees, wildlife, or just enjoy nature, the Town’s 700+ acres provide the avenue for physical and psychological well-being of residents and visitors alike.

Set in a beautiful natural area alongside the Highwood River.

The Town of High River makes the most of its natural capital, providing everyone with an opportunity to enjoy the scenery and get back to nature.

Enjoy our Happy Trails that wind along the river and through parks and green spaces connecting one neighbourhood to another. Spend a weekend getaway at Lion’s Campground and stroll through George Lane Memorial Park and Campground - awarded “Campground of the Year” by the Southwest Service and Tourism group in October 2017.

High River is also a winter playground where residents and visitors can enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, outdoor skating and beautiful seasonal displays through the holiday season.
