Proclamations are official announcements by Council to formally recognize a special event or occasion which is deemed to be of significance to the residents of High River.

What can I request a Proclamation for?

Proclamations can be requested for items that meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • The requesting organization must be a recognized charitable, social profit or non-profit organization located or having a presence within the Town of High River.
  • The cause or occasion must be an initiative in the Town of High River.
  • The cause must be one of benefit or significance to the majority of the citizens of High River or
  • The requesting organization must be based in High River and have a local chapter and locally based contact representing the requesting organization.

How do I request a Proclamation?

In order for proclamation requests to be considered, requests should be completed and submitted at least 14 days prior to when the group or organization requires the proclamation.

Proclamations are typically a day, a week or a month. Please indicate the duration of your proclamation.
