Family Day Festivities & Facility Closures | Feb. 16, 2026
HIGH RIVER – In observance of Family Day, Town of High River facilities will be closed on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026. There will be no changes to garbage collection.
Town Facilities Closed on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026:
- Town Hall
- Greater Foothills Family Centre
- Family & Community Support Services
- Public Works
- Recycling Centre
- RCMP Administration
- Fire & Protective Services Administration
These closures will not impact essential services such as the Fire Department and RCMP. In the event of an emergency, always call 9-1-1.
The Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex (BSRC) will have limited hours on Feb. 16, opening at 11 a.m. and closing at 3 p.m.
Family Day Activities (Monday, Feb. 16, 2026) – Enjoy Free Drop-Ins at the BSRC:
- Drop-In Sports | 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Field House West
- Little Movers – Field House Play | 11 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. | Field House East
- Drop-In Skate | 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. | Large Arena
- Drop-In Shinny | 11 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. | Small Arena
- Drop-In Shinny | 12:45 p.m. – 3 p.m. | Large Arena
- Drop-In Skate | 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. | Small Arena
- Drop-In Basketball | 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. | Field House East
The festivities are free to attend. We encourage people attending to bring a Jumpstart or Food Bank Donation.
