2025 Holiday Garbage Collection
HIGH RIVER – Happy Holidays, High River! As we head into the festive season, here's what you need to know about holiday garbage collection for 2025.
Garbage Collection Changes (December 22 to 26, 2025):
To accommodate holiday closures, collection days will shift during Christmas Week:
- Thursday, December 25 (Christmas Day): Thursday pick up will occur on Monday, December 22.
- Friday, December 26 (Boxing Day): Friday pick up will occur on Tuesday, December 23.
- Thursday, January 1 (New Year's Day): Thursday pick up will occur on Monday, December 29.
Please have your bin out for collection by 7 AM.
High River Recycling Centre – Holiday Hours
The High River Recycling Centre will operate with adjusted hours over the holiday season:
- December 24 & December 31: Open 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- December 25, December 26 & January 1: Closed
- December 27 – 30: Regular operating hours
Regular operating hours will resume on Friday, January 2, 2026. For details on tree recycling and other Recycling Centre services, please visit: highriver.ca/recycling.
