Town Crews to Reopen Original Golf Cart Crossing on High Country Drive NW

HIGH RIVER – The golf cart crossing at the High View Gate intersection will return to its original straight-through connection, as decided by Town of High River Council at their Regular Meeting on May 13. The four-way stop is to remain in place.

Please be aware of the following changes to the High Country Drive and High View Gate intersection:

  • Barrier Removal: The barriers blocking the straight-through connection for golf carts will be removed during the week of June 3 – 7, 2024.
  • Traffic Impacts: There may be short-term delays with equipment on the road and periods of one-lane traffic. There will not be a full road closure during the completion of these changes.
  • Four-way Stop: While there will be some adjustments to the stop signs and temporary curbing to assist in visibility and turning, it will remain in effect.
  • Golf Cart Signage: Golf carts will have a stop sign at the edge of the crossing and must adhere to all regular traffic laws and signage.

We urge all drivers and golfers to use caution at the intersection as these changes are implemented. Safety is our top priority, and your cooperation is appreciated.
