Brian Perry Youth Park Grand Opening

HIGH RIVER AB – The Town, in partnership with the United Way/High River Partnership Committee will officially unveil the highly anticipated new youth park off 12th Ave on Monday, August 12, at 11:30 am.

The community is invited to join the High River Town Council members, who will be on hand for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the official grand opening of the Brian Perry Youth Park. The new youth park is the result of a generous memorial gift from the late Brian Perry, which was donated to the United Way/High River Partnership. Together with local youth and the Town of High River, the Partnership worked to revitalize the area to include a new all-sport court and a beautiful multi-use greenspace.

The Youth Park is conveniently located directly across the street from Highwood High School and adjacent to the BGC Centre and High River’s Skateboard Park. The Town is pleased with the addition of this amenity which encourages youth to engage in physical activities and socialize in a safe, welcoming environment. The youth park aims to promote an active lifestyle and provides a fun, recreational space for the community’s youth and all to enjoy.

Over the past couple of years, the area has undergone extensive changes and landscaping. We appreciate everyone's patience during this process as we prioritized creating a safe and welcoming environment for all users. We look forward to the official grand opening and a day of fun activities.
