A Public Hearing for the proposed Pilot Entertainment District Bylaw is scheduled for the June 10, 2024 meeting of Council. This is to provide residents and businesses an opportunity to bring questions and comments before Council on this proposal for the downtown area. Entertainment Districts are designated public spaces where adults can enjoy alcoholic beverages while partaking in entertainment options within specified limits. If approved, the pilot phase for the district is slated to run from June 1 to December 31, 2024. The district would exclusively operate during special events, activated by applicants during the permit application process.
