Community Programming

The Town of High River offers many programs for all ages, young and young at heart. Children will thrive in a nurturing environment with our qualified instructors, and you will see them build their confidence, self-esteem and creativity.

Adults will stay involved and energetic with our various programs that range from staying healthy and active, expanding your knowledge and working on mental wellness. We recognize that mind body works together so we try to provide a little of something for everyone.

How to register for community programs

Register online with ActiveNet (we strongly recommend this method) – please have your credit card handy

Register by phone

Call  403-652-4042 or any of the staff numbers listed above – please have your credit card handy as well as your course information

Visit our Customer Services Representatives at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex

Please read the complete waiver and assumption of risk information carefully before using Facilities or participating in Programs.

Withdrawals & Refunds

Withdrawal requests will be considered up to seven (7) days prior to the start of a program. A $20 withdrawal fee per program will be applied to each refund. All programs over $175 are subject to a $50 refund fee.

No refund or credit will be issued if the withdrawal occurs within one week or after the program starts, unless for medical reasons. A doctor’s note will be required. Please allow 5-6 weeks for processing cash or debit refunds.

If the Town of High River cancels a program, the client is entitled to a full refund or a transfer into another program (if the program is a higher value, additional fees apply).

Fee Assistance

Community Access Program

The Town of High River has launched a new Community Access Program (CAP) that will provide discounts on many town programs, activities and support services to residents that meet specified household income requirements. For more information on the CAP card please contact FCSS at 403.652.8620.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart: High River Chapter

The program is geared towards helping children aged 4-17 years old participate in organized sports and recreation by covering the costs of registration, equipment and/or transportation fees.
