Help us by sharing your questions!

  • Your questions and comments will help us learn what information you need to know over the coming year as we promote new practices, and before enforcement begins. Topics can include garbage collection, recycling depot guidelines, landfill drop-offs, street sweeping practices, driveway clearing and more.

Public Works staff will be on hand at each Open House to share why we need a new bylaw, and why certain rules are in place.

For example, did you know that unbagged garbage in bins causes flyaway litter? Because of the high arms on the big trucks, loose garbage can blow away before reaching the truck. By bagging garbage, it falls into the trucks and there is no mess left on residential streets or lawns. Come learn more about the 'why' behind the bylaw and what you can do.
