Alberta Works: To apply please call 1-877-644-9992 or apply online.

Utility Deferrals: Visit the Government of Alberta website for information, eligibility requirements and instructions.

Transitioning from CERB to Employment Insurance (EI):

After you receive your last CERB payment, continue completing reports. In most cases, you do not need to apply for EI benefits. If you do not qualify, you will be notified by mail. You will need to apply for EI after your CERB ends if you are self employed, have returned to work full time or have a SIN starting with the number ‘9’.

Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB) - NEW:

The CRB will provide eligible workers with $500 per week (taxable, tax deducted at source) for up to 26 weeks. Applications and further details are available on the Government of Canada website.

Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit (CRCB):

The CRCB gives income support to employed and self-employed individuals who are unable to work because they must care for their child under 12 years old or a family member who needs supervised care. For full information on eligibility, validation and payment, please visit the Canada Revenue Agency.

Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit (CRSB):

The CRSB gives income support to employed and self-employed individuals who are unable to work because they’re sick or need to self-isolate due to COVID-19, or have an underlying health condition that puts them at greater risk of getting COVID-19.

To apply, visit your account on MyCRA or call 1-800-959-2019 or 1-800-959-2041 with your Social Insurance Number (SIN), postal code, and date of birth. For more information about eligibility and applying, please visit the Government of Canada Website.
