Town Proposing New Clean Energy Improvement Program

HIGH RIVER, AB – The Town of High River is seeking public feedback on a proposed Clean Energy Improvement Program.
The voluntary program gives residential and commercial property owners access to competitive, long-term financing for a wide range of energy-efficient upgrades such as:
- Adding insulation
- Upgrading doors and windows
- Replacing furnaces or hot water tanks
- Adding solar panels
Financing payments are integrated into property taxes. As such, financing stays with the property if homeowners decide to sell and move on.
Currently, 18 municipalities across Alberta operate a Clean Energy Improvement Program. The Town will have an information booth with more information on March 2 at the 2024 Showcase High River event.
