Heritage Inn International Balloon Festival 

September 24–28, 2025 · High River, Alberta 

The Heritage Inn Balloon Festival has grown into one of southern Alberta’s most anticipated fall traditions. All week long, colourful hot air balloons lift off (weather permitting), painting the High River sky and delighting spectators from Calgary to communities across southern Alberta. Bring your family, spread out at the launch field, and watch the magic up close. 

• Location: Field at the end of Macleod Trail
• Times: Twice daily at 7:30 AM and 5:15 PM (weather permitting) 

Pilots and crews will stage from the launch field at the end of Macleod Trail for morning and late afternoon/evening launches. Conditions can change quickly, and safety always comes first. Learn more and view a more detailed schedule at heritageinninternationalballoonfestival.com  

Tips for Watching: 

• Arrive early, bring a blanket or chair, and give crews plenty of space to work. 
• Please follow on-site marshal directions and posted signage. 
• Drones are not permitted during the event. For the safety of all spectators, the area is classified as a restricted airspace during the festival.
