High River – Town of High River residents will join Albertans in voting for their next Municipal Government by heading to the polls Monday, October 18. The Town expects to provide Election results by 10 pm, with results becoming official October 19, should there be no contest.
Election results will be announced via Facebook live. Stay tuned to the Town of High River social media pages for updates the night of October 18. The Town will also provide a written release on the Town of High River website.
Interesting Facts
- High River has approximately 11,000 eligible voters based on 2019 Census
- 3383 total voters in 2017 vs 2285 voters in the 2021 advanced polls alone
- The advanced poll votes in 2021 have already made up 68% of the total votes in 2017
- Election workers are sanitizing voting stations between each vote
- There are more tables in 2021 than ever before (up to 18) to accommodate maximum voters and minimize wait time
