It's Time to Take Down the Sign! Election Signs Reminder
by Town of High River
High River - It’s the day after the election and time to take down and dispose of election signs. Candidates, campaign organizers and residents are reminded that under the Town’s Election Sign Bylaw all election signs must be removed within 7 days of the election (October 25) from both private and public locations.
Please be sure to remove signs without causing damage to public or private property. Signs can be taken to the Town’s Recycling Centre and disposed of properly into appropriate containers for plastics or metal. Please retain any wood posts or frames. These should be taken to the Regional Landfill site as nails or large staples can damage the chipper, which is typically used only for tree branches.
Thank you for voting, and for following up with this step. The Election Sign Bylaw can be viewed here and includes additional details about next steps if signs are not removed by the deadline.
