Hamptons Bypass Update: Work Accelerating & Temporary Routes Added | August 22, 2023

HIGH RIVER – In the coming days, crews will complete construction of the Happy Trails path connection along the northern side of 2 Ave, stretching from the Hamptons Blvd junction to the canal.

Temporary Measures for Seamless Travel:

A temporary route will be established to facilitate pedestrian movement between the Hamptons neighbourhood and points West along the Happy Trails pathway. Accessibility is top of mind as crews take measures to ensure convenience.

Connecting Pathways for Added Accessibility:

Our commitment to improving connectivity continues. A connection/crossing point will be implemented, allowing easy access from the Happy Trails pathway to the Sunshine Lake pathway at 2 Ave.

Intersection Adjustment:

Direct access across the intersection of Hamptons Blvd and 2 Ave will remain closed for the duration of these operations.

Anticipated Completion:

Work to provide an improved pathway experience is anticipated to be completed by August 30.
