Participants from across the Province Attend an Emergency Training Conference in High River
The caliber of training in High River has attracted interest from across Alberta

HIGH RIVER— The caliber of the Town of High River's emergency response training for its staff has attracted interest from communities across the province, leading to a first-of-its-kind initiative being held in High River. An Emergency Management Conference from April 3 to 7 will provide attendees from municipalities across the province an opportunity to participate in comprehensive courses focused on specific roles in emergency response.

“By organizing this conference, The Town of High River is extending a helping hand to municipalities across Alberta and strengthening our collective emergency response capabilities,” said Mayor Craig Snodgrass. “It will help forge connections across our province and strengthen our collective emergency response capabilities as we work together to protect our communities and the people we serve.”

The conference is organized in partnership with the Town of High River and Exigent INC, which specializes in leadership, human factors and emergency management in high-risk environments.

Over 100 participants from across the province will be attending. Course instructors come from Alberta, PEI and British Columbia, bringing a variety of experiences and backgrounds. When you see emergency vehicles around town, rest assured they're here to contribute to the safety and security of communities across Alberta.

Thanks to Exigent INC and the Alberta Emergency Management Agency for supporting this conference.
