Prime Consultant Contract Awarded for the Aquatic Facility Expansion

High River – On February 27, 2023, High River Town Council voted in favour of the Prime Consultant contract for the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex (BSRC) Aquatic Facility Expansion. The tender has been awarded to Gibbs Gage Architects for $954,720.
Gibbs Gage Architects was selected for the contract based on comprehensive evaluation criteria and experience with similar municipal projects. Additionally, they presented the lowest cost option to the Town with the highest dedication of resources to the project.
The Aquatic Facility Expansion was identified as a Council strategic priority in July 2022 as a way to push forward as a People First community with a continued focus on residents and promoting healthy lifestyles.
The final design for the expansion is expected to be in place by the end of 2023, after which the project will be tendered for construction. Construction will begin in spring of 2024, and completion of the expansion is anticipated by the fall of 2025.
