HIGH RIVER, AB: Key findings from a social wellbeing assessment survey have been compiled into a report, now accessible online and soon to be available in limited print quantities.
From October to December, the Town of High River’s FCSS team asked residents and stakeholders to complete a social wellbeing assessment survey. Survey questions were developed by analyzing past research, current trends in community needs, and priorities from the FCSS Accountability Framework.
Results from the survey have helped FCSS create the following definition, which will be used to guide programs over the next five years: Social wellbeing is the intersection where experiences of belonging, liveability and equity meet. A strong indicator for a positive quality of life is when a balance of these elements can be achieved.
Community Needs Assessment:
As part of FCSS’s mandate to assess our community's social wellbeing, we adopted a new approach this year to gather more in-depth data instead of the usual vital signs survey.
The survey results will guide our preventative social services work, future activities, and programming, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our community.
Gratitude for Participation:
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated and shared their experiences. Your support and input are critical in shaping the future of our community services.
The FCSS team remains committed to serving the community and addressing the changing needs of all community members. We are always here to listen and support you.
The full report can be found on our Social Wellbeing Assessment webpage, and limited printed copies will soon be available at the FCSS Resource Centre and Town Hall.
