Special Ballots

If you are not able to vote on election day or at any of the advance poll dates, you may request to vote by Special Ballot.

To be eligible to vote in the Town of High River Municipal Election, you must be:

• 18 years of age
• A Canadian citizen (According to legislation, a Canadian Permanent Resident is not considered a Canadian Citizen)
• A resident of High River on the day of the municipal election (High River Map)

To receive a special ballot, please complete the form below.

**Please Note: Due to the Canada Post Strike, if you cannot pick up your Special Ballot, the Town of High River will courier Special Ballot Requests to the address provided; however, it will be the voter’s responsibility to return the completed Special Ballot Package either in-person or by courier at the voter’s expense.

The deadline to request a Special Ballot is October 15, 2025; however, it is your responsibility to ensure there is sufficient time for your ballot to be picked up or couriered to you, as well as for the completed Special Ballot Package to be returned to Town Hall, via courier or in-person, before 4:30 pm on October 20, 2025. If your Special Ballot Package is not received by 4:30 pm on October 20, 2025, your vote will not be counted.
