Alberta's Fastest Riders are Coming to High River | September 12 – 14
HIGH RIVER – The Town of High River is proud to sponsor the first-ever Alberta Provincial Pump Track Championship, hosted by the Southern Alberta Pump Track Association – and it's happening right here in High River!
The Town is moving forward with a $5,000 sponsorship to support this exciting event, which will take place from September 12 to 14, 2025.
Why High River?
- High River is home to one of Alberta's longest active pump tracks at 160 meters.
- Advanced track design with the right length and complexity for elite competition.
- Centrally located for easy access to large groups of athletes.
What's Pump Track Racing?
Pump Track Racing involves high-speed cyclists maneuvering rolling jumps and banked turns on a smooth asphalt course. Riders "pump" through the track to gain speed, racing head-to-head or in tight time trials where every fraction of a second counts. It's a thrilling experience for both competitors and spectators!
