The Town of High River has awarded the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex (BSRC) Curling and Leisure Slab Replacement RFP to Prologic Construction Limited.
In March of 2020, the Town inspected the curling and leisure rink at the BSRC. The inspection concluded that the curling and leisure slab had reached the end of its life cycle.
At a minimum, the scope of the Curling and Leisure Slab Replacement includes the following:
- Design, supply, and installation of slab replacement
- Reinstallation/modification of arena dasher boards to accommodate the new design
- Install fit-for-purpose flooring outside of the field of play, including the stairs on the curling side and the arena player’s bench
- Barrier-free access to surface
The adjacent areas within the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex will be fully operational during curling and leisure slab replacement. Work to replace the slab will begin in April, with a Fall 2022 completion date and Town inspection to follow. The new slab will have a 40-year life expectancy.
The Town of High River would like to thank all vendors involved in the BSRC Curling and Leisure Slab Replacement RFP and looks forward to working with Prologic Construction Limited.
